Isaacson Foundation (DBA: Empower Ministry) Empower Ministry Apps — empowerministryapps.com
Effective Date: July 1, 2026
1. Who We Are
The Isaacson Foundation, doing business as Empower Ministry ("we," "us," or "our"), operates the Empower Ministry Apps platform at empowerministryapps.com. This platform provides AI-powered ministry tools to church leaders and staff in our partner network.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you register, we collect your email address, full name, organization (church) name, and password (stored as a cryptographic hash — we never store your actual password).
2.2 Usage Information
When you use AI-powered tools, we log which tool you used, the number of AI tokens consumed, the model used, and the date and time of use. This log supports our internal credit metering system.
2.3 Content and Uploaded Files
Content you create or upload through our tools is stored on our servers, with data backed up to Microsoft Azure and Microsoft OneDrive. You may request deletion of your data at any time — see Section 7.
2.4 Search and Query Activity
Queries entered in the Devo Finder and Sermon Finder tools are held in memory for the duration of your session. We may also log query activity to server log files for support purposes. Such logs are stored on our servers and are not shared with third parties.
2.5 AI Policy Assistant Conversation History
When you use the AI Policy Assistant (chatbot) in the Policy Builder, your messages and the AI's responses are stored on our servers and persist across sessions. This history is used to provide continuity across sessions and is not shared with third parties except as described in Section 4.1.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Authentication and access control — to verify your identity and determine which tools you can access
- Credit metering — to track AI token usage and manage user balances
- Platform operation — to save your work so it persists across sessions
- Support and troubleshooting — to diagnose issues when something goes wrong
- Platform improvement — aggregate usage patterns may inform future development
We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell your data.
4. Third-Party Services
4.1 OpenAI
Some tools on this platform use OpenAI's API to process content you provide. When you use the Transcripts & Subtitles tool with an AI-assisted transcription method, audio extracted from your uploaded file is sent to OpenAI. When you use Guardian AI in a non-fast mode, the text of documents you upload for compliance checking is sent to OpenAI. When you use the AI Policy Assistant in the Policy Builder, your chat messages, a summary of your current policy decisions, and your recent conversation history are sent to OpenAI to generate responses.
